How Troika's ReadyPath™ Technology WorksThe primary objective of Troika ReadyPath Technology is to accelerate application performance by pushing data intensive operations traditionally performed in software and generic processors into specialized hardware where operations are performed at very high speed in “fastpath”. In comparison to traditional appliance approaches where all data moves up to the CPU, Troika ReadyPath Technology ensures that nearly all Data I/O remains in the ASIC switching subsystem. Executing data movement in highly optimized, fast hardware eliminates latencies from software data movement, translating to a speed of ten to a hundred times more in performance. Troika Storage Networking ASICs execute application operations and process data packets using Packet Processing Engines (PPEs) with a cut-through switching architecture. Control and exception I/O traffic is processed within the overall system by the CPU complex.
